The Ministry of Education, Akwa Ibom State, recently partnered with Etinan Children’s Scholarship Foundation (ECSF), Inc. to Convert into, and Operate Government Primary School, Ikot Ebo, Etinan LG, as a “Model” Government Primary School.

Aniedi Itina Youth Empowerment Program (AIYEP): “In Partnership for Children”

Many communities are privileged to have benefactors who always step up to help the needy. I have been very impressed and appreciative of the work that my cousin, Isongesit Ibokette, has been doing through his non-profit organization, Etinan Children’s Education Foundation, Inc. (ECEF). It is in this spirit that I founded the Aniedi Itina Youth Empowerment Program (AIYEP). The sole aim of this philanthropic organization is to train less privileged youths in Etinan in a variety of professional fields. Since 2019, the organization has trained 15 youths and provided them with the necessary finances, tools and equipment in different fields. The latter include tailoring, auto mechanics, plumbing, aluminum work, carpentry and small machines technology.
As of 2023, the 2019 through 2022 cohorts of trainees have completed their apprenticeships and established themselves in their respective areas of expertise.

Love Without Borders Foundation ( LWBF) Inc. continues to stand with Etinan Children’s Education Foundation, Inc (ECEF) which gives young, less privileged children of Etinan, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, a brighter future. The ECEF’s commitment to impacting the lives of these young people by laying a solid and quality academic foundation at the primary school level is highly commendable.

Since 2019, the LWBF itself has also been focusing on assisting various groups of indigent Akwa Ibomites in their various socio-economic endeavors. In 2019 it gave 20 students in Polytechnics and Universities in Nigeria scholarships worth ₦50,000.00 each towards their college expenses. In December of 2020, it empowered 30 widows in Etinan, Akwa Ibom State, by giving them small business start-up capital of ₦30,000.00 each. One year later, in partnership with the Women Initiative for Empowerment of the Less Privileged (WIELD), it funded another small capital start-off project for 20 widows in Etinan.

In 2023, the LWBF broadened its charitable activities in Akwa Ibom by giving various food items to a group of widows; provided financial aid to 15 students in various tertiary institutions; and paid medical bills for 12 low income patients.

The Backpack Marathon

Our Mission: To inspire future generations in and around the Boston area to achieve their goals and dreams. We aim to teach youth the importance of philanthropy in their own community and to empower them to accomplish their goals both in the classroom and beyond.

The Backpack Marathon is a not for profit charitable organization that donates backpacks and school supplies to disadvantaged youths of all ages in hopes of both lessening the financial strain on their parents and helping to instill confidence in the children we serve.

We at The Backpack Marathon believe when a child is fully prepared to take on the school year with a brand-new backpack filled with the supplies they need to be successful academically, they will also be preparing to be successful in life.
